Melodee DuBois

Melodee A. DuBois joined ZACH Theatre in July 2011. Her expertise includes all annual fund areas, capital and endowment campaigns and planned giving. As ZACH's Chief Development Officer, she oversees the development activities for both the $2M annual fund and the $23.5M Capital Campaign. Her guidance and leadership are also utilized in numerous Board and staff committees as ZACH has transitioned into the new Topfer Theatre. Melodee comes to ZACH after a long and rich history with some of the nation's premier arts institutions, including the Cleveland Play House, Chicago's Court Theatre, and Michigan Opera Theatre in Detroit. Prior to ZACH Theatre, Melodee was the Director of Annual and Campaign Development at the Cleveland Play House, the country's first professional theatre company, where she oversaw all annual fund programs and the Capital Campaign. Under her leadership, the CPH Campaign raised nearly $23M of the $32M Campaign goal in a year and a half. At the Cleveland Play House, Melodee also created Endowed Funds for artistic and educational programs which raised an additional $1.2M. Other past campaigns include a $22M Capital Campaign for Michigan Opera Theatre, a $20M Endowment Campaign for Cincinnati's Contemporary Arts Center, and a $10M Endowment Campaign while at Court Theatre. Melodee received a B.A. in Philosophy and an M.A. in Arts Administration from Indiana University.
